The North Texas Fair begins this week, and school starts back up next week, and all in all it looks like Fall!  I hope you are as excited as I am, autumn is my favorite season and it always means a bunch of great stuff coming up.

There are many places offering viewing parties, including The Fort Worth Library, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and HistoryRay Roberts Lake State Park, the Dallas Arboretum, the Perot Museum, and Sundance Square. Be sure to check with your local Parks & Rec department and local libraries to see what is happening near to you. DISCLAIMER: Do NOT look directly at the sun anytime during the eclipse. No matter what someone may have told you, it will NOT be safe at anytime to look directly at the sun without proper eye protection. If you can’t get your hands on a pair, still go outside and check out the shadows on the ground, especially those made by tree leaves. They will act as a pinhole camera and cast crescent shaped shadows. It’s supposed to be really cool looking.
